Martin's Christian Pilgrimage

The whole program is built around one thing: your baptism in the Jordan River at Qasr al-Yahud. It’s on Monday morning and it gets all the time it needs.

Around it, we follow the footsteps of Jesus in Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley. I’ll be your guide and your driver the whole way, from the aircraft door on Sunday to the departure gate on Tuesday.

3 full days, but at a pilgrim’s pace, not a race. I’m planning the order around opening hours and crowds, so some mornings start early.
The plan is NOT FINAL yet.

The Old City means a lot of walking on stone streets and steps. Comfortable shoes, please, and shoulders and knees covered for the churches.

Monday is the big day. We’ll be at the Jordan River in the morning, the priest will baptise you by full immersion, and nothing else that day is allowed to rush it.

For the baptism, bring your swimsuit. The white baptism robe is sold at the gift shop on the site, so you buy it there. There are showers for you after the baptism, so bring your personal stuff for that.
